When we’re asked to describe our feelings about this year and our experience as a new organization, Ken Marrero says it best…
“It’s a perfect blend of frustration and satisfaction”
American Liberty Alliance, formerly the “DontGo Movement,” has accomplished great things since we began in August of 2008.
We started out as an online group that was barely able to afford a cheap shared hosting package. From August of 2008 to February of 2009, we really didn’t know what to do or how to do it, but we had tens of thousands of email addresses and we knew they were all waiting to hear from us.
We were blessed to be able to play a key role in both the February as well as the April nationwide tea party efforts, and in late April filed as a corporate entity that would allow us to function a little more like RedState.com in that we could generate funds through advertising to help pay for our projects.
Since April, we’ve been able to grow far quicker than expected. In fact, we haven’t been able to cope with the growth and we’ve been behind for the past few months.
This is, of course, a good problem to have. What we’ve accomplished this year is what some established beltway groups have spent millions of dollars and many years building.
We’ve done it with very little money, and in record time.
As far as our future goes… we’ve recently set up a non-profit entity and we’ll likely be filing for 501c4 status to run alongside it. There are several other large scale projects that will be announced in either late December or very early January, and we believe these projects will be game changers for the movement.
But there will be plenty of time to discuss this in the coming weeks. For now, it’s important that the American Liberty Alliance recognizes those who have paved the way for us to get where we are today.

That’s right, we could not have gotten this far without you. The number of volunteers and people who have stepped up in this group are countless.
Time, energy, money, ideas, community… you’ve brought it all to the table and it shows.
So on this Thanksgiving, we at the American Liberty Alliance realize there is much work to be done, but we ales recognize the work that has been completed.
And we’re very grateful to all of you for helping us get it done.

You’ve done well. We set up the same structure, filing as a corporation, and 501c4 status, as well as a PAC. We’re working hard out here in CrazyLand (aka California) just as you are in your area. Let’s make 2010 awesome for freedom.

Thank YOU for all you have done this past year. I, as one tiny participant in the big scheme of things am very grateful to all who have done so much more than myself in trying to turn this mess we’re in around. I have never written so many letters, e-mails, faxes and made as many calls as I have this year to the boneheads in Congress before in my life. In fact, I’m one of those who had never done anything of this nature before. I know I’m not through either.
My husband and I run one of those “small businesses” that are struggling along with so many others. We never thought we could be happy with just breaking even but we are. It feels like we have had to start our business all over again this year. We broke even during our first year in business 19 years ago and here we are again being grateful for doing just that in 2009. We know we’re lucky (so far) to still be in business. Thank goodness I haven’t had to give up my wine yet! We do hope we can muddle through this until we gain control of our country once again. We do hold on, knowing that we are not alone.
Thanks again for keeping us informed and for encouraging us to stay-in-the-game.

I believe that we need to celebrate and give thank that for the most part we have one in little victories in getting ACORN and in getting some of the Illegal czars out of the Whitehouse we can give gratitude that we still have a fight but because of our freedoms we can still do so we must celebrate all of our freedoms the God has given us when he gave us great leader to keep a county free and safe we must give thank to those that give their all in our military and hop they will come home soon thank Greg Linck
Just wanted to take this chance to say thank you, and wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving. We often forget how truly lucky we are, and I’m grateful to have folks like Eric and Ken, and the rest of the bunch at ALA working so hard for ALL of us.
Reic, thank you for all your efforts, and we all look forward to a year of effort to restore our Liberty. I wish you and all of our friends a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Many thanks for all you do! May 2010 be the year we turn the tide back to freedom and liberty! I’m so grateful this year for freedoms we still have and for all the patriots raising the standard of liberty across this great land!
Wishing all the blessings of being Thankful this Thanksgiving Day, and throughout the remaining 2009. Thank you for all you have done this year, in keeping us informed of many things, good and bad. My prayer is that we will all come to a point where we shout with one voice.

Just 44 cents from every Christian to send a nice card, telling them “Merry Christmas”. This will keep them busy opening so many envelopes. They can’t not open one, in case there are contributions to their organization.
Remember, you believe in Jesus Christ and a loving God. Don’t be nasty to ACLU. Smile when you write your little bit on the card. What I wrote:

I am so blessed and thankful for the wonderful people that I have met and get to now work with through “Dontgo”, ALA, American Majority, Blogtalkradio and Talk Radio 860 WGUL. Thanks to the wonderful folks at Freedomworks God has led me to speak out in the realm political and have His voice heard.
People like Eric Odom, Ned Ryan, Elizabeth Blacney, Mike Serrio and Chris Gould continue encourage me and I know that we will see the fruit of our labor!
I am thankful for my family whose support I could do nothing.

Good job with everything, Eric! Through all the struggles, I for one can testify to your genuine motives and true passion for the movement. Looking back, I’m amazed that we all made it out of the American Liberty Tour alive, but as per usual, the grassroots came through and were able to make it happen for us! I know that despite everything, you’re always willing to ignore and look past the personality conflicts that so many people get caught in, which is admirable. Best of luck with everything.

It’s been an exciting year for me as I unexpectedly found myself becoming a Community Organizer (does this qualify me for President?). haha I want to wish everybody the best year capitalism can provide (which is the best kind of year possible) .. I made so many new friends this year, and to varying extents they became a significant part of my 2009 .. and I hope to continue to see them
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am proud to be part of this re-awakening of the American people. We MUST replace as many Dem’s as we can in 2010. I wish we could get our own people in place by then. I have a thought, please anyone reply if it is viable. How to word this, could we use the Internet to get a candidate elected, with little money? Just a thought.

Thank you, Eric. I’ve never been more afraid for my country but at the same time I’ve never felt more alive thanks to the Tea Party movement. We need to take it to the next level now. I am behind you and ready to mix it up a little bit. I don’t think they believe we have the guts to REALLY GET LOUD! Lets show em!
Hello everyone. We have taken long strides in reclaiming our country in 2009 and I expect 2010 will be a historic year in our movement and more importantly, our country.
